A feasibility and dynamic performance analysis of hydromechanical hybrid power transmission technology for wind turbines

Abstract. A multi-body dynamical model of a wind turbine power generation system (WTPGS) based on hydromechanical hybrid transmission (HMHPT) technology is developed and simulated to overcome the individual drawbacks gear train hydrostatic (HPT) system. The HMHPT concept single-stage planetary (SSPGT) typical HPT. input shaft SSPGT coupled with rotor, whereas output hydraulic pump. pump supplies flow hydro-motor, its generator. An existing blade 750 kW used for further development analysis HMHPT. simulation responses indicate that control potential both have been improved using in turbine. Moreover, influence motor due variations leakages addressed. Additionally, it found if order HPT are swapped proposed HMHPT, then settling time, maximum overshoot, rise time increased. As result, controllability decreased.
